The Lakes LifeCare Center is a non-profit organization that relies on the generosity of many volunteers.
You can help us touch one life at a time.   Make a choice to make a difference: volunteer!

Ready to get started?

Drop by the center Tuesday - Friday afternoons between 1pm and 5pm to pick-up a volunteer packet.  Inside you will find information about volunteer opportunities and everything you need to get started.  All volunteers who work will clients need to attend one of the Total Life Care Center's Training Seminars before beginning to volunteer.  To find out more information on these seminars and the next dates visit totallifecare.org.

Daytime Opportunities: Flexible day-time hours, Monday through Friday 

    Direct Services 

  • Receptionist- This position is vital to our everyday service of love and support to women and babies. Welcome and greet our clients and guests, assist clients, sort donations, answer phones, and help with general office work, organizing, or your choice of a variety of projects each time you work with us! 
  • EWYLTeacher                                                                                                                                                                                             Our Earn While You Learn (EWYL) teachers reach out to women with the compassion of Christ by offering assistance in both word and deed as a one-on-one caring helper. EWYL teachers meet with clients in a private setting to listen, educate, and affirm women and families that seek our services. They present ready-made lessons on topics pertaining to pregnancy, childbirth and child rearing from our EWYL program. The purpose is to offer physical, emotional and spiritual hope to the clients. EWYL teachers attend an initial training seminar, are provided with on-going training, and attend regular volunteer meetings. A commitment to a regular schedule, for a minimum of one year is requested.

  • Special Projects Team- Want to work more “behind the scenes”? Support us with all of the work of the Client Team…except the interaction with clients! You keep our center up and running in a welcoming and efficient manner. 

 

  • Medical Team - Are you a nurse or doctor who would like to volunteer to be a part of our medical team?   We are in need of medical professionals to help with medical clinic services.
  • Maintenance Crew - Are you a “handy” man or woman? Lend a hand with maintenance, repairs, heavy-lifting, outdoor beautification – anything that takes a little sweat and ingenuity. Regular light cleaning and upkeep of center.

    Behind the Scenes 

  • On-Call Volunteer - Looking for an occasional or one-time volunteer opportunity with little commitment? Could you volunteer with us with as little as two days notice? Sign up to be on our list and we’ll contact you when needed. Provide support in wide variety of duties for projects that arise, like mailings, or when extra help is needed at an event. 
  • Fundraiser - Help us develop the most effective strategy to stay afloat and thrive. Work with the Special Event and Promotions teams to manage and implement effective and efficient fundraising activities.   
  • Special Events - Adopt a fun and fruitful fundraising/promotional event that becomes your “baby” from start to finish! With the LLCC staff, you can plan, manage, and implement an annual or new event, or be a part of the volunteer committee that will pull off the event.   

    Board of Directors

  • Help our clients from the inside out! All non-profits like us need a governing Board. Get an inside peek at our operations while you lend your expertise and experience to make sure that they run as effectively as possible for those we serve.
  • The Board meets once per month and members support various fundraising activities throughout the year.
