Having an ultrasound is the most important next step you can take if you have a positive pregnancy test. An ultrasound is a noninvasive procedure that uses sound waves to determine information about your pregnancy, including how far along you are, if your pregnancy is viable (living and healthy) and the location of your pregnancy. This information may determine what options are available to you.

How Far Along Am I?

If you don’t know how long you’ve been pregnant, Lakes Life Care Center can provide you with a free ultrasound to accurately date your pregnancy. Even if you’re considering abortion, you’ll still want to have an ultrasound to determine how far along you are. This information will tell you what options are available to you at this stage of your pregnancy.

Free Limited Ultrasounds

Free limited ultrasounds are available to clients who have a positive pregnancy test at Lakes Life Care Center. Start by making an online appointment for a free pregnancy test today. You’ll receive the results of your test during your appointment. Then our medical professionals can schedule a free ultrasound appointment for you.

Will I Have A Natural Miscarriage?

If you’re pregnant and considering abortion, you may not need one. Statistics show that 10-15% of early known pregnancies end in natural miscarriage – avoiding the need for an abortion. An ultrasound will help determine if your pregnancy is viable (living and healthy) or at risk for a natural miscarriage.

Do I Have An Ectopic Pregnancy?

An ultrasound will determine where your pregnancy is located and if your pregnancy is safe. Normally a pregnancy is located in the uterus, but sometimes a pregnancy can implant itself outside of the uterus (meaning it is an ectopic pregnancy). Ectopic pregnancies are not considered viable (able to survive) and they can be life-threatening. If the fertilized egg is outside the uterus, you’ll need to seek emergency medical attention.
